“Citizens Advice Rotherham & District is an independent registered charity that has been supporting the Rotherham community for nearly 50 years. Our team of dedicated volunteer and paid advisers do a wonderful job helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society. In 2016/17 we saw 8,500 clients, with over 24,000 different issues and by helping local people resolve their problems we gain considerable insight into the challenges they face and use that to help influence change. Our work is funded through a variety of means, including generous support from Rotherham Council, enabling us to deliver the advice that the community needs. However, in order to meet future challenges, such as the rollout of Universal Credit in April 2018, we will need more income and for part of that we are grateful for all the donations we get from members of the public.”
